THE 57-year-old suspect accused of murdering Sihle ‘Charly’ Shandu (30) by stabbing him to death at an Empangeni shopping centre, has been denied bail by the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court.
The case has been remanded to 19 June. The Regional Court Prosecutor will review the case.
Bail was denied owing to the accused having no fixed property in the area.
A fight between the suspect and Shandu turned violent on Sunday, April 26. Shandu was stabbed with a broken bottle and bled to death at the scene.
