ACTING on a tip-off from a concerned resident, Ntambanana police arrested three suspects last Wednesday for the possession of unlicensed ‘redesigned’ firearms.
While on patrol in the Ndondwana and Mabhuyeni area, police members were approached by a resident concerned for his own safety and those of his fellow community members.
They were directed to the home of two men who were found to be in possession of two unlicensed firearms.
A third man was also apprehended with an illegal weapon in another nearby residence.
The suspects are all aged between 38 and 49 years and will appear in the Ngwelezane Magistrate’s Court.
