Empangeni’s Vincent Koch gets his big break
Vincent Koch gets a start for the Bok side on Saturday.
FOR Empangeni born front row forward Vincent Koch, his dream season continues when he starts for the Springboks against the Pumas on Saturday at Growthpoint Kings Park Stadium in Durban.
Koch who attended Grantham Park Primary School got his break when the Stormers snatched him up for the 2015/16 Super Rugby Season.
The 120kg loose-head prop utilised his large frame to impress and therefore received a Bok call-up for the Rugby Championship competition.
Come Saturday, Koch will certainly prove his worth to head coach Heyneke Meyer after getting promoted off the bench due to an injury sustained to Jannie du Plessis.
After the squad announcement for Saturday, fans are excited to see the return of Peter-Steph du Toit, Siya Kolisi and Jean de Villiers to the fold.
