Seven arrested for ‘vengeance’ murder
An apparent vengeance attack in Mtubatuba leaves one man dead
SEVEN suspects were on Wednesday arrested for the murder of Lwazi Mapanyo Thethwayo (35), after carrying out an apparent vengeance attack.
According to police reports, the group of seven men, who were known to the deceased, turned up at his homestead just before 8pm on Tuesday, accusing him of stealing money from a member of their community.
The suspects took Thethwayo from his home to a deserted area where they assaulted him with sticks and kicked him to death.
Thethwayo’s body was found just before 7am on Wednesday.
The suspects were tracked down and arrested at their homestead in Ebaswazini at 7.30am the same day.
