THE clarion call was made for ANC supporters to work hard to maintain the momentum ahead of this years local government elections.
Speaking as the organisation celebrated its 104th birthday at eSikhaleni College on Saturday, Minister of Sport and Recreation Fikile Mbalula thanked all those who contributed to the party’s achievements.
‘We must pray and thank our God as we celebrate 104 years in the successful struggle.
‘Members need to ensure we elect faithful councillors who will work hard for their community as we proceed to the elections.
‘We will not support corruption and violence in our organisation because our goal is peace and prosperity in our country.
Chairperson of the ANC Musa Dladla Region, Nonhle Mkhulise thanked the thousands of supporters who came by bus from all parts of uThungulu to join the celebrations.
She asked them to be faithful to their organisation during the election campaign.
