GWM updates M4
GWM has given its M4 crossover a facelift. The new vehicle sports a more butch front end with daytime running lights and extra luxury features.

When the M4 was launched in SA and 11 other countries two years ago, it sold in good numbers.
According to Hans Greyling of GWM Sales, ‘The GWM M4 is a good-looking drive that ticks the affordability, style and safety boxes, and opens up a more adventurous lifestyle.’
The exterior of the updated GWM M4 is sportier than its predecessor, with a distinctive black trim.
Up front the new bullbar-like insert into the grille, and daytime running lights give the updated M4 an attractive and robust look.
Impressive ground clearance of 185mm makes the M4 a good choice for outdoorsy people, while 16-inch alloy wheels and a tail wing add a hint of dynamism to the crossover’s stature.
Performance of the GWM M4 is ideal for zipping around the city with the 1.5-litre VVTi petrol engine managing 71kW and 138Nm through a five-speed manual gearbox.
A smooth ride is promised through the assistance of power steering, ABS with EBD.
Additional safety on the GWM M4 includes the usual bells and whistles; a seatbelt unfastening warning system, a rear window defogger, adjustable headlamps, and front and rear fog lamps.
The M4 also features an immobiliser and remote central locking.
Two of the headline security features are the reverse radar, which will definitely come in handy, as well as clever vehicle locating service.
Inside you will find an on-board trip computer and multi-function steering wheel which place all of the M4’s features at the fingertips of the driver.
Electric windows all-round, air-con, cruise control and Bluetooth give further credit to the M4’s value for money claim.
The new M4 retails for R189 900 and comes with a comprehensive five-year/100 000km warranty and two-year/24-hour roadside assistance.
An optional five-years/60 000km service plan is also available.
