WATCH: Daylight burglary in Richards Bay

SURVEILLANCE cameras at a Richards Bay home that captured a house burglary on Saturday afternoon have shown just how easy it is for criminals to gain access to your home.

The footage, shared with the Zululand Observer, shows the suspects arriving at the Meerensee home shortly after 3pm.

Their vehicle, a charcoal/silver VW Caddy is seen driving up and down the road before pulling into the driveway.

Within seconds, the motorised gate is dismantled.

The gang of half a dozen masked burglars then break open the security gate and front door with a crowbar.

As they move around the property, security cameras are moved to obscure their view.

According to reports, they made off with jewellery and electronic equipment.
