Makeover for Empangeni SPCA

Boarding at the Empangeni SPCA has never looked so good

FOLLOWING intensive fund-raising during 2015, the Empangeni SPCA committee is finally ready put their funds to good use.

Apart from the basic requirements of food, veterinary bills and fuel, a portion of the funds has been earmarked for the upgrade of the SPCA’s 25 boarding kennels .

The project is well underway, and this month a contractor was hired to apply a special epoxy which can last for five years to all 25 kennel floors.

The kennel walls were scraped, re-plastered and painted.

In addition, repairs were done on all kennel gates and doorways late last year.

The project will take another two weeks to be completed, but the committee is confident it will not interrupt boarding as some of the kennels are already in working order.
