Dave bows out, but grows his fan base

SINGER Dave Starke had eShowe and all his fans hanging on his his every note as he appeared in the sixth episode of The Voice South Africa recently.

Although he did not make it through to the next round, he has had masses of support through social media, with fans across the country congratulating him on his performance.

Dave shared a conversation with his seven-year-old nephew, Munei, in the Starke kitchen on Monday morning with his friends on Facebook.

Dave: ‘How are you boytjie?’

Munei: ‘Real bad. Too sad to sleep…. Who do these coaches think they are? Like the guardians of music or something? You’re the greatest singer in the universe and they just sit there…. Next time take me along and I’ll go on stage with you and we’ll crush them!’
