SHOWING a wonderful spirit of talent and survival, Mzingazi Evening Women’s Institute recently celebrated its 26th birthday at a function combining their AGM and prize-giving.
The birthday cake was cut by Pat Patterson and Ethne de Groot, both being founder members of Mzingazi Evening WI.
Prizes were awarded to members who had obtained the highest points during the year in each of the different categories.
The committee for the coming year was elected: President – Pat Patterson, Vice President – Bev Pellow, Secretary – Erna Ellis, Treasurer – Koekie Labuschagne, Vice Treasurer – Ria Weideman.
Mzingazi Evening WI meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 5pm in the Pelican Hall at the ZCBF Grounds.
Ladies are welcome to join for an evening of fun, fellowship and learning about various topics of interest.
