Renowned bonsai headliner in Richards Bay
The enthusiast will be gracing the society with his presence on Saturday, 21 May for an exclusive workshop and demonstration.
THE Zululand Bonsai Society is again hosting world renowned bonsai headliner Charles Ceronio for a full day event at the NSRI base this month.
Travelling extensively to teach and demonstrate the art of bonsai, not only on home ground, but worldwide, Charles is a pioneer for bonsai in SA.
The enthusiast will be gracing the society with his presence on Saturday, 21 May for an exclusive workshop and demonstration.
Charles is responsible for creating and developing new bonsai styles in SA, including the Baobab, Pierneef, Flat Crown, Wild Fig and Bushveld styles.
He began bonsai during 1968 and is one of the founder members of Bonsai Kai in Pretoria.
Charles has had the privilege of studying this ‘living art form’ under many great masters.
The workshop will begin at 8.30am and conclude at 4.30pm.
The entrance fee, which includes tea and a light lunch, is R120 for members, R150 for non-members and R80 for scholars.
A bonsai tree will also be up for grabs, along with a number of other prizes during the raffle.
Bonsai equipment, soil and trees will also be for sale.
