Acting KZN Premier sworn in
The Executive Council thanked the outgoing Premier, Senzo Mchunu for his good work and stewardship for leading KZN and wished him well in his new deployment.
FOLLOWING a special meeting today, the Provincial Executive Council nominated and swore in current MEC Department of Transport, Community Safety, and Liaison – Thembinkosi Willies Mchunu as the Acting Premier by Judge M Madondo.
The Executive Council congratulated Willies Mchunu on this assignment and expressed their confidence in his leadership pledging to support him in taking forward the ‘programme of government and bettering the lives of the people of KZN’.
This comes after, Senzo Mchunu was requested to resign from the office of the Premier by yesterday (Monday).
