Hippo spotted in the Bay

TRAFFIC slowed to a standstill on the John Ross Parkway this evening when a hippo took to grazing on the grass strip between the highway and the Mzingazi Canal.

Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife District Conservation Manager Frans Mthembu was on scene – and not too impressed with people leaving their cars to get a closer look at the extremely dangerous animal.
