Madlankala youth career empowerment
Education remains the key to open doors of success to building a better, educated and skilled society

THE Isethembiso Youth Development, a non-profit organisation in Madlankala Reserve, hosted a career exhibition last Friday to inform local high school pupils about career options.
Addressing the pupils, Isethembiso Youth Development Secretary Dumisani Mthembu said, ‘Education remains the key to open doors of success to building a better, educated and skilled society.’
Unizulu informed them about the importance of studying physics and engineering, especially the importance of electrical power generation-in order to meet the government’s vision 2030; which is the establishment of a nuclear power station.
A social development department representative alerted them about the importance of youth organisations’ formations.
Murray and Roberts (M&R) said it specialises in building infrastructure.
The company promised to offer bursaries to those interested into studying towards civil engineering, quantity surveying and land surveying.
‘Internship opportunities are available to those who are interested into joining M&R in future,’ said M&R’s Lucas Bornman.
Unizulu further promised the hopefuls it will soon launch a programme to assist those who didn’t do well in matric, to improve on their results.
The subject combination at school level was blamed for the poor showing of most new university students.
