UPDATE: Poison fish investigation hits dead end
The wood carvers who survived the poison fish incident have made a full recovery
THE case of the Meerensee wood carvers’ poisonous fish incident, which left one dead, has all but come to a standstill as police officers have no leads to investigate.
Meanwhile, the last of the five survivors was last week discharged from hospital.
KwaMbonambi SAPS Communications Officer, Captain Mthethwa, on Monday confirmed investigating officers had been unable to gather further information or locate a suspect, but said the case was still open.
