LOCAL anglers have been thick on the salt tablets to relieve muscle spasms and cramps as a result of all the action over the past week.

This week saw the biggest couta come out after a dry spell.
This 26kg monster was caught off Jex Estate, which has proved to be the hot spot of late.
For those who ventured further north to Sodwana, fuel was wasted as the strong currents have been taxing on the fish.

The rock and surf scene has produced more edible fish than inedibles over the past week, with some nice pompano and decent sized shad coming out.
A number of kingfish and double-decker speckled snappers have also been on the bite.
Pompano and stumpnose have been landed with sea lice, with the occasional brown ray and sand shark coming out on red eye sardine or chokka bait on the sandbank.
