Doves Funerals Empangeni celebrates new management
The official launch of the Doves Empangeni branch took place on 3 November 2018
On 1 March 2018 Mathapelo and husband Castor Coetzee took a huge business decision that would change their lives and positively impact the Empangeni and Richards Bay community forever.
It has been nothing short of an adventure for the Coetzee family, moving back to South Africa from the USA to purchase and successfully run Doves Empangeni and Doves Richards Bay under their company Mathapelo Parlour Pty Ltd.
Mathapelo and Castor are determined to learn about the funeral industry and change lives of many in the local community.
“The journey has been incredible and there were times when my husband and I looked at each other and asked ourselves what we have gotten into, but looking back now and where we want to take this brand, every trial and tribulation is worth it,” says Mathapelo.
The official launch of the Doves Empangeni branch took place on 3 November 2018, where branch clients, community leaders, medical personal, financial institutions and family and friends gathered to celebrate the official opening of the Doves Empangeni branch under new management.
The change in management brings greater growth opportunities, great client service and more opportunities for the brand to be involved within the community.
“This brand is not just ours as owners, but it is a brand belonging to the community. The community suggestions, complaints and compliments are very welcome and encouraged for us to improve the current and future services that Doves has to offer,” said Mathapelo and Castor at the launch.
It was a moment of pride from the Doves management.
“This improved state-of-the-art facility offers a full service to the community ranging from funeral cover, burial services, cremation services, memorials, repatriations and more,” said Innocent Ndlela (MD for Doves Group Franchising) at the launch.
“With the right skills that Mathapelo brings into our business, we know that we will be more competitive and our organisation will be more effective in the provision of dignified services for all our clients.”
“If all South African companies can empower small businesses like we do, our economy can grow faster, creating more and better jobs,” said Innocent Ndlela.
