Zululander flies high on his 80th birthday

Zululander Carl Enslin celebrated his 80th birthday with a tandem skydive, reviving his pioneering passion for skydiving and adventure.

Well-known Zululander Carl Enslin enjoyed a literal high when celebrating his 80th birthday recently, by way of a tandem skydive at the Ballito Skydive Club.

A keen sportsman in his youth, Carl was indeed a skydiving pioneer in the 1960s when he did hundreds of jumps.

“As his family, we were thrilled and incredibly proud to watch him take to the skies.

“His courage, excitement and sheer enjoyment of the experience made it a very special birthday indeed,” said his proud children Alex, Neil and Karen.

“Dad was an enthusiastic sportsman in his younger years, and it was wonderful to see that same adventurous spirit still very much alive at 80.

“What an incredible way to celebrate this milestone, proving you’re never too old for a little adventure!”
