Relief on the cards for eSikhaleni motorists

Good news for eSikhaleni motorists - construction to upgrade, expand and beautify the eSikhaleni road intersection is well under way

After being inundated with complaints about the narrow road, which contributed to a high number of accidents, the City of uMhlathuze finally responded to motorists’ call for an upgrade last year.

According to city communications manager Mdu Ncalane, the project will be completed in April next year.

‘The City of uMhlathuze is excited with the good progress at the eSikhaleni intersection expansion.

‘This is one mega project that will change the lives of people for the better after it has been completed.

‘The project will ease the traffic congestion in all angles totally eradicating the long waits especially during peak hours.

‘We urge motorists to bear with us as construction is under way and to take extra precaution while adhering to the speed limits,’ said Ncalane.
