WATCH: Violent protest action at University of Zululand

Violence broke out last night (Sunday)

CAMPUS vehicles and several buildings have been burned to ashes at the University of Zululand’s KwaDlangezwa Campus.

All operations have been suspended and students are currently searching for safety after a violent outbreak on campus last night (Sunday) where security offices and other structures were torched by violent students seeking answers over unpaid allowances and fees.

Police are currently at the scene, but have not been able to calm the angry mob as the violent action continues.

No one is allowed access inside the institution.

Several students have been injured.
