UPDATE: Affected Empangeni and Richards Bay SPAR stores re-opening

After a 24 hour closure, the affected Spar stores are slowly being re-opened by the Spar Group

UPDATE 1pm Friday: The Spar Group has communicated that all affected Spar stores in the Giannacopoulos Group will be open by tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

READERS of the Zululand Observer should soon be able to once again buy their favourite community newspaper at a nearby Spar supermarket as stores affected by yesterday’s (Thursday) closure are gradually being re-opened.

As was hoped yesterday, the Spar Group South Africa is in the process of re-opening all Spar stores that were closed by the Sheriff’s office in accordance with a High Court application yesterday morning.

It is understood that Central Park Spar in Empangeni is already open and re-opening at Lakeside Mall Spar is imminent.
