Two bodies found dumped in bush near Empangeni

The victims had been stabbed with sharp objects

ESIKHALENI police have opened two murder cases after two bodies were found dumped in the bush in the Ndimandima area, not far from the victims’ homestead on Thursday.

Police spokesperson, Captain Thembinkosi Mkhumane, said a community member notified them of the gruesome discovery.

‘It seems the two had been badly assaulted and stabbed with sharp objects.

‘The deceased were identified by their family members as Dumisani Mthiyane (35) and Ntando Sigwaja (26),’ Mkhumane said.

Mkhumane said preliminary investigations indicate that they were killed elsewhere and their bodies dumped in the area.
