The counterfeit haul was reportedly worth R1.6-million

THREE men were arrested yesterday (Thursday) and their haul of counterfeit cigarettes, valued at R1.6-million, confiscated.

After receiving a tip-off of three vehicles containing counterfeit goods having crossed the Kosi Bay border post and driven through Phinda Private Game Reserve, the Hluhluwe SAPS crime prevention unit, together with the Nyati Anti-Poaching Unit and Alpha Security, stopped the convoy at the Phinda gate.
