WATCH: Adorable young elephant mock charges game viewers

WHILE African elephants are the most imposing and respected wildlife species, the young often provide a cute factor – such as one trying to look as big and mean as possible as it puts its charging skills to the test.

In a video posted by Africa Geographic on its Facebook page, a juvenile elephant was filmed kicking up dust, waving its ears and mock charging some game viewers.

All this while its family and herd members continue to graze quietly and tranquilly at the sides of the dirt road.

African elephants in all their glory are always a sight to behold and, despite this ‘little one’ weighing more than 100kg, everybody loves the cuteness of a baby elephant.

The African bush elephant is the heaviest land mammal in the world and can weigh up to six tons, while its forest counterpart, the African forest elephant, weighs 2 700kg at its heaviest.

Both species of elephant have a lifespan of between 60 and 70 years.
