Mandeni SASSA office reopens after officials’ Covid-19 tests return negative

THE South African Social Security Agency’s (SASSA) office at Mandeni which was closed recently owing to reported Covid-19 cases, has since reopened as all affected office officials tested negative.

Operating from 7.30am to 4pm, the offices will on Mondays and Tuesdays attend to old age grant applications, Wednesdays and Thursdays to child support and foster care grants, with all other applications handled on Fridays.

The issuing of SASSA cards, pin resets and replacement of cards are dealt with by the South African Post Office.

The public must note that no children are allowed at SASSA offices and it is compulsory for those visiting the offices to wear a face mask at all times.

All safety protocols will be observed in line with Covid-19 safety measures – the wearing of a mask, social distancing, daily screening of temperatures and sanitising.
