Sudden passing of Inkosi Nzuza

The inkosi was described as being a 'fountain of wisdom from which amakhosi would draw inspiration'

KZN MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), Sipho Hlomuka, yesterday (Wednesday) expressed his condolences following the untimely death of Inkosi Nzuza of the Nzuza Traditional Council in the uMlalazi Municipality.

Described as being a ‘fountain of wisdom from which amakhosi would draw inspiration’, Inkosi Nzuza’s death on Sunday followed a short illness.

‘His sudden passing is a major blow to us as a department and to the institution of traditional leadership in our province,’ said Hlomuka.

‘In all our engagements with him, we had come to know him as a strong proponent of development within the community which he led with distinction.

‘We are heartbroken by this sudden loss and express condolences to the family and the Nzuza community.’
