Whether it is giving up caffeine, tobacco, chocolate, social media or even shopping, it is entirely up to the individual’s discretion, but it is important to consider your choice and select something that you use or do on a regular basis.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the complexities surrounding addiction and dependence, and seeks to build awareness through experience.

By giving up one habit that gives you pleasure, you can experience what a substance-dependent person may go through during treatment.

With experience comes education, and this is the ultimate aim of the campaign.

Participants are encouraged to keep a daily log which could be an online blog, of their progress, including cravings and physical and emotional challenges while experiencing withdrawals.
