WORKING into the early hours of this (Friday) morning, city engineers restored the water supply to Arboretum following the massive mains burst that collapsed Ysterhout road and spewed out millions of litres of water on Thursday.
A massive sinkhole remains at the intersection of North Central Arterial (R619) and Ysterhout, which is closed to traffic.

Apart from having to infill the hole, a large section of the busy road will have to be rebuilt and tarred.
