Suspect nabbed with counterfeit goods

KWAMSANE police arrested a 42-year-old man for possession of counterfeit footwear, which was discovered in his vehicle on Thursday night.
The suspect was arrested at Bhoboza crossing in KwaMsane as part of ‘Operation Zizojikizinto’.
This operation, initiated by KwaMsane SAPS, aims to curb criminal activity in the area.
uMkhanyakude police cluster spokesperson, Captain Jabulani Mdletshe, said police flagged down his vehicle which was heading southbound on the N2.
‘Police searched the vehicle and counterfeit Nike sport shoes were found. It was determined that the goods came from Mozambique and was heading for Durban.’
