Covid-19 cases close Bay police station
The parking area has been cordoned off and members are engaging the public on arrival.
WITH an unconfirmed number of members having tested positive for Covid-19, the Richards Bay police station has been closed to the public – other than for opening new cases.
While none of the frontline members working directly with the public at the Community Services Centre (charge office) are among those affected, the strongest precautions are being taken in preparation for a substantial sanitisation of the entire station.
The parking area has been cordoned off and members are engaging the public on arrival.
No certification of documents is being done at present.
It is expected that the station will reopen on today or Thursday, subject to completion of the disinfection process and an additional 48 hours once that has been done.
