Umvuzomuhle Foundation on a mission

Through its initiative #Donate4Change, the foundation identified the family during a community relief drive

IN commemoration of national Women’s Day, the Umvuzomuhle Foundation supported gogo Gumede of eSikhaleni J1 Section with a donation of food parcels and hygiene packs to her and her family on Sunday.

Through its initiative #Donate4Change, the foundation identified the family during a community relief drive in June.

‘We adopted the family and want to make sure we improve their circumstances.

‘This time we were assisted by the Mchunu family and will continue to provide support wherever we can,’ said foundation founder Mkhuseli Buthelezi.

The team is also on a mission to build the family a decent shelter.

The frail gogo lives with nine children in a one-room mud house and sells packets of chips for a living.

‘We are already raising funds for the project and hope Zululanders will contribute as we aim to complete the gogo’s house before the end of the year,’ said Buthelezi.
