WATCH: Two Zululand hospitals accept Jerusalema challenge

Netcare The Bay Hospital and Queen Nandi Regional Hospital accepted the trending Jerusalema dance challenge

LOCAL healthcare workers let off some steam last week by joining the trending Jerusalema internet challenge.

Staff of Netcare The Bay Hospital in Richards Bay and Queen Nandi Regional Hospital in Empangeni were keen to spread some positivity amid the Covid-19 pandemic, which has seen cases drastically rising in the King Cetshwayo region.

Queen Nandi Regional Hospital’s Acting CEO, Dr Menitha Samjowan, said she came up with the idea of holding a dance competition between the different hospital departments.

‘The staff loved it and they have all been making video clips. The idea behind it was that even in the most difficult times, healthcare workers can inspire hope, positivity and faith,’ said Samjowan.
