WATCH: St Lucia challenges others to participate in the Jerusalema challenge

The town celebrated the reopening of the tourism season by joining in the dance challenge

IN celebration of the reopening of the tourism industry, St Lucia residents participated in the global ‘Jerusalema challenge’, encouraging others to share in the fun.

From business-owners and hospitality employees to residents and belly dancers – everyone participated enthusiastically in this South African-inspired movement.

Zululand’s coastal gem, near the southern boundary of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site, has – along with many other tourist towns – suffered greatly as a result of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.

While international borders remain closed, South Africans can now move around the country freely and enjoy some holiday time within the confines of the country’s borders.
