Four weekend murders keep SAPS busy
In four separate murder incidents under investigation, one man was shot seven times while a woman was stabbed multiple times

EMPANGENI police have been kept on their toes, dealing with four murder cases from the weekend.
On Friday, 30-year-old Neo Mononyani was gunned down in Inywe while walking with his friend along the R102.

They were approached by two unknown men.
Monanyani was shot seven times and died at the scene.
His friend, Wandile Ndlela, was wounded but is currently recovering in hospital. Police are also on the lookout for a man who shot and killed Nosipho Mdlestshe of Ngwelezana while she was asleep in her home.
The 23-year-old woman, who lived with her grandmother, was shot three times after a perpetrator entered their home on Saturday.
The body of an unknown woman was found in a farm dam outside Empangeni with seven stab wounds (read the full story on page 3/elsewhere on this page).
On Sunday night, a dispute between friends led to the murder of 29-year-old Nkaniso Mthethwa, who was shot in the chest.
A suspect has been arrested.
