Guys working the Richards Bay waters were rewarded with decent catches of game and bottom fish.

Targeted areas have been ‘areas of change’.

For example, look for sudden changes in depth, clarity or current and this should hold bait fish which will, in turn, attract the predators.

The rock and surf fraternity was affected more by the wacky weather conditions, but as the summer conditions roll in, anglers know that drag-peeling action will be on the cards.

Guys getting hot action have been the drone anglers, who have the added benefit of getting their larger baits into the deep waters.

Areas around Tugela have produced some good combination fishing, with anglers able to target both edibles and inedibles.
