WATCH: Ethiopian nationals protest at Empangeni court, calling for suspect’s bail to be denied

The group is opposing the bail of a suspect they say has been terrorising their community for years

ETHIOPIAN nationals are protesting outside Empangeni Magistrate’s Court this (Thursday) morning, calling for bail to be opposed for a suspect they say has been terrorising their community for years.

The foreigners are calling on the court to let justice prevail after six Ethiopians were reportedly murdered and targeted by a gang operating in Empangeni, Richards Bay and surrounding areas.

The man suspected of being the ring leader of the syndicate was last week arrested by police for malicious damage to property, pointing of a firearm and intimidation.

He is appearing at Empangeni Magistrate’s Court today.
