Wednesday morning rush hour accident in Empangeni

A man was lucky to escape with his life after being in a serious accident

TWO cars were involved in a serious accident at the Mpala Street and R34 intersection in Empangeni this (Wednesday) morning.

One driver was taken to hospital with moderate injuries and the other managed to get away unscathed.

ALSO READ: Fuel price drop expected

Although the accident did not seriously obstruct traffic flow on the main road, traffic was backed up on Mpala road as motorists were attempting to join the R34.

All services were on scene, with Mounties EMS attending to the injured motorist.
