Reconciliation Day taxi accident on N2 near eSikhaleni

All patients were transported to Ngwelezana Hospital but there were no serious injuries

FOURTEEN people sustained minor injuries when the taxi in which they were travelling, overturned on the N2 near the eSikhaleni off-ramp this (Wednesday) morning.

The taxi was towing a heavily laden trailer and it appears that the taxi driver lost control.

There were no other vehicles involved.

While the taxi occupants sustained only minor injuries, they were treated on scene by Mounties EMS and other paramedics, before being transported to Ngwelezana Hospital.

All other emergency services, including SAPS, uMhlathuze Fire and Rescue, as well as other emergency medical services also attended the scene.

Traffic was backed up for a while but the road was soon cleared.
