Fatal accident on N2 near Mtubatuba

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for further medical care

TWO people were killed and 15 injured in an accident involving a minibus and a car on the N2 near the Mfolozi river bridge, just south of Mtubatuba.

The accident occurred shortly after 11pm last (Wednesday) night.

KZN Emergency Medical Services (EMS) paramedics attended the scene and treated the 15 patients whose injuries ranged from critical to minor.

All were transported to the closest hospital for continued medical care and the deceased were taken to the state mortuary.

The cause of the accident will be the subject of a police investigation.
