Final shot for firearm amnesty

The amnesty window closes on 31 January 2021

Police are calling on citizens who want to get rid of unwanted or illegal firearms to take advantage of the amnesty from prosecution window that closes on 31 January.
‘Don’t wait until the last day to visit your police station. Avoid the crowds by arriving during office hours with your identification card and weapon permit, if you have one,’ said one Richards Bay SAPS official.
Failure to do so might lead to future prosecution if charged with being in possession of an illegal or unlicenced weapon.
