Beware of fraudulent job adverts using the Tronox brand
Tronox will never ask for money from individuals

Following a recent increase in fraudulent job advertisements, Tronox urges the public applying for jobs to be wary of scammers that use the Tronox name to advertise job placements.
Fraudsters are extremely deceptive and might easily fool you into parting with money on the basis of false promises.
Red flags you should be aware of:
- A request for upfront cash payments
- Meetings set up in places other than Tronox offices
- Promises to hire without an interview
- The job advert looks valid, but the contact email does not match the company’s website domain which is tronox.com
- The contact person’s number is a cell phone number instead of a Tronox office line
- Grammar and spelling errors in the job advert
The standard recruitment process for Tronox includes a formal email, telephone communications and/or face-to-face meeting between the recruiter and the interviewee on company premises.
- Official Tronox email addresses will always be used for recruitments. Tronox will never ask for money from individuals.
- All shortlisted individuals will undergo a formal interview process by a Tronox employee before they can potentially receive an employment offer.
- Personal information such as bank account details, will only be requested once an official offer has been made to the successful applicant.
We ask that applicants verify the authenticity of all information, especially those obtained from social media, with our HR Department on 035 902 7000 and to report suspicious advertising to our free fraud and ethics hotline number: 080 098 3612
