One injured in John Ross accident

A POLO driver suffered serious but not life threatening injuries after his vehicle collided with a grey Toyota Quest and overturned earlier today (Thursday).

The incident occurred at the eSikhaleni intersection on the John Ross Highway.

Paramedics from Mounties Emergency Medical Services worked hard to free the entrapped driver from the wreckage of his Polo.

It is believed that, at the time of the accident, the Polo had been heading towards Empangeni while the Toyota was turning off the John Ross, towards Madlankala.

The injured Polo driver was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital for further medical attention.

Traffic was not affected, and neither the Toyota driver nor his passenger sustained any injuries.
