Through the Sixty60 mobile app, residents in the vicinity of Checkers in Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre will be able to choose the items they need and have them delivered to their doorstep in just 60 minutes at a fee of R35.

The innovative and fast-speed service, which allows users to track the status of their order and delivery in real time, is now available.

The app was officially launched over a year ago in a few neighbourhoods in the Western Cape and Gauteng, and has, to date, more than one million app downloads.

Checkers has also launched a new recycling initiative for its brown paper bags, which allows customers to return their used bags with Sixty60 drivers for recycling.

Proving to be a hit among customers, the Sixty60 service has, since its launch in 2019, received a number of accolades, including a gold award in the Service Design category at the 2020 Loerie Awards.

It was also the recipient of the Tech Innovation and Business Unusual awards at the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) South Africa SMARTIES Awards, and was named one of Memeburn’s best apps of 2020.
