Farewell to SAPS stalwarts

The seasoned officers - Captain Johanna Green (40 years), Colonel Francois Erasmus (37 years), Captain Rosalinde Jordaan (37 years), Captain Lubenya Mndaweni (33 years) and Warrant Officer Christian Dlamini (32 years) were honoured during a farewell function at the ZCBF last week.

DEDICATING decades of service to the South African Police Service (SAPS), five long-serving policemen and -women of the Richards Bay police station bid farewell to a life committed to combating crime and serving their fellow citizens.

The seasoned officers – Captain Johanna Green (40 years), Colonel Francois Erasmus (37 years), Captain Rosalinde Jordaan (37 years), Captain Lubenya Mndaweni (33 years) and Warrant Officer Christian Dlamini (32 years) were honoured during a farewell function at the ZCBF last week.

They were praised for their commitment to serving with distinction. Wishing her colleagues well on the next chapter of their lives, Col Zanele Buthelezi said it was a pleasure working with such esteemed officers of the law.

‘On behalf of the Richards Bay police station, I want to express appreciation for the services you rendered to SAPS and the public.

‘Your support in establishing and maintaining high standards at the station is highly commendable.

‘You all will be missed dearly and we thank your families and loved ones for lending you to us. Now it is time to thank your families for their support and give back what has been taken from them – your love and time,’ said Col Buthelezi.
