Last chance to enter mother-and-child competition

The final winner will be announced on Thursday, 6 May - just in time for Mother's Day!

Only a few days remain before entries close for our Mother’s Day lookalike competition.

If you think you and your mother look alike, please send us your photo before Thursday, 15 April.

We are searching for Zululand’s most similar-looking mother and child, and asking readers to send us their photos. The photo must be recent – photos taken more than a year ago will not be accepted.

The photo must be of good quality and larger than 500KB. If the photo is not large enough to print, we cannot judge it. Your entry must include all the information required, otherwise you risk disqualification from the competition. (We will not publish this information – it only forms part of your entry.)

Information required:

– Names and surnames of the people in the photo

– The mother’s physical address and contact number

– The date on which the photo was taken Email your photo to momslookalike@zob.co.za

The closing date for entries is Thursday, 15 April.

There is no age restriction, but the mother must be a Zululand resident.

Both mother and child must still be living.

We will publish some of the photos in the Zululand Observer, Eyethu Bay Watch and online at www.zululandobserver.co.za to promote the competition.

The top 20 photos, selected by our judges, will be published in the ZO Weekender edition of 22 April, as well as on our website. Readers will then vote for their favourite mother and child pair.

The final winner will be announced on Thursday, 6 May – just in time for Mother’s Day!
