Adopt-a-Spot volunteers continue the good work in Ngwelezana

Working together with other business owners and councillors, the gang rolled up their sleeves and cleaned up illegal dumping sites, picked up litter and all the rubble around the area, as well as cleaned storm water drains, pavements and walkways.

TO ensure a safe and clean environment in Ngwelezana, the Adopt-a-Spot team continued their work at the township’s central business complex last Thursday.

Working together with other business owners and councillors, the gang rolled up their sleeves and cleaned up illegal dumping sites, picked up litter and all the rubble around the area, as well as cleaned storm water drains, pavements and walkways.

To beautify the area, which is at the entrance of the township, the team also planted plants and flowers.

The purpose of this ongoing campaign is to promote recycling and educate communities about the dangers of illegal dumping, as well as to improve neglected areas.
