Three people have lost their lives on the R34 near Empangeni Milling in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).

A Renault carrying three people collided with a sugarcane truck, killing all three occupants.

ALSO READ: Fatal accident on the N2

The driver of the truck has been transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The road has been cleared.
