Ballito Pro surf event postponed to later in the year

Surfers have more time to hone their skills after event is postponed

Surfers will now have more time to hone their skills after the postponement of the annual Ballito Pro surfing event.

This news comes after the country was moved into adjusted lockdown Level 2 this week. Scheduled for July, the Ballito Pro has now been moved to early December.

After consultation with the KwaDukuza Municipality, the World Surf League and Surfing South Africa, organisors elected to adopt a cautious approach and prioritise public health and safety.

Organisers extended their appreciation for the understanding of sponsors, surfers, local businesses and the broader community, and will in due course issue updated details on the rescheduled event.
