WATCH: Beware of road closures

SCORES of Zuma supporters have been blocking roads around KZN, demanding the former president’s release.

Below are the local roads that have been closed since early this morning:

Mtunzini Toll:

All four lanes towards Empangeni are blocked by cane trucks. RTI is in attendance and motorists can drive around the obstruction using the emergency lane Toll booths remain open N2 Empangeni southbound is closed

Other:

R34 John Ross in the vicinity of the Eco Junction is closed – (uncertainty if this is a local unrelated protest) N2/R34 bridge is closed

R102 / N2 – no reports yet

R102 in Mtunzini is closed eNseleni to Richards bay is open but traffic is moving slow Vryheid to Empangeni is clear Roads in Melmoth, eShowe and Ulundi are clear

The N2 between Mposa and eTeza where the acid spillage occurred is open but is an active clean-up scene Traffic is moving slowly on the alternate route between Richards Bay and Empangeni owing to an accident on the R102 near the Enseleni Nature Reserve
