Rallying together to support each other

Life Empangeni Private Hospital salutes all healthcare workers, essential staff, frontline workers, police and volunteers

The tumultuous events of the past week have truly brought our community in Zululand together.

The looting and burning of large parts of Zululand, the ensuing chaos and interruptions to the supply chain for food, medicine, fuel and other essential commodities have left our community faced with uncertainties around food security and almost certainly an increase in the unemployment rate.

In adversity, we find strength in our fellow human beings.

We rallied together to support and care for each other – our individual fear and pain gave way to a collective strength and resilience – the deep sense of community that we have witnessed and been part of for the past week, humbles us and at the same time makes us proud to be part of the community of Zululand.

Life Empangeni Private Hospital applauds the untiring work of all healthcare workers, essential staff, frontline works, the South African Police Service and all of our volunteers – people like you and me have been there for you and me!

WE SEE YOU AND WE SALUTE YOU!

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
